This year, we've been asked to create a music video for our own personal artist.
Essentially, we can pick any song we want (should refrain from vulgar language, and songs that last longer then 3minutes) and create a name for our artist, create a digipack and a poster for our artist's 'new single".
However, we are not aloud to use the same images for each of digipacks.
Meaning that as a group we have to create the music video but all the other tasks that contribute to our coursework are individual work based.
For this I looked at a few of the most viewed music videos on youtube.
First I looked at: Gangnam Style- Psy which has 2,432,821,013 views.
I then looked at: Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk ft Bruno Mars which has 1,074,815,482 views
I then looked at One Republic - Counting Stars which has 970,686,962 views.
Lastly, I looked at See You Again- Wiz Khalifia ft Charlie Puth which has 1,043,780,426 views.
All of these music videos contrast each other signifcantly both regarding music genre and visual illustrations/representations. One of the main differences between last year's coursework and this year's coursework, is that we need atleast a 100 shots in order to produce a decent piece.
