Introductory Into Preliminary Task

Today, we began an introduction into our preliminary task for our coursework.

We were split into groups of 3 ranging from 3-4 people in each group, we were given two options of songs to reproduce for our task:

The Satudays - What About Us

Wheatus- Teenage Dirtbag

Our group of four were given Teenage Dirtbag to copy.

Colin chose the minute of the MV(Music Video) of which we had to copy each shot to imitate the original video.

We were then given the task to break down the MV shot by shot during that minute using description sheets (as seen below):

We ended up with 48 shots with in the space of an hour and a half of slowing down the video and depicting every detail to ensure we could imitate the MV effectively.

This task was to help us understand and gather each detail of the MV but also to emphasise the importance of planning out our coursework effectively when shooting and editing out final piece of coursework.
