Shooting Some Shots

Today, we began shooting a few shots for our preliminary,

Essentially, we are given 3weeks to film and edit our select one minute of the MV.

Trying to replicate some of the misenscene within the original we decided as a group to use the sports hall, as in the original, most of the repetitive shots were filmed on a basketball court, hence why we wanted to get a couple shots using the basketball scoreboard in the back of the clips.

We managed to shoot around 10-15 clips of: long shots of the lead singer of Wheatus: close ups; two shots; and close ups of anther band member.

Although, today was fun to shoot the comical clips of us learning how to lip sync effectively, we found that we would have to take several takes of the same shots as a lot of the shots used in the original MV are quite repetitive and appear to loop on occasion.

The equipment we used was:

-E-IMAGE GA752 Tripod

-NIKON D5100- Digital SLR

-Lyrics Sheet of Wheatus- Teenage Dirtbag

We did play around with using auto focus and manual focus to help mirror some of the shots in the original MV.

Overall, our lesson was quite productive as we were able to come away with some clear and in time shots.
